FOREST HILLS, Mich. (WZZM) - West Michigan celebrated Armed Forces Day Saturday. Residents had a chance to thank the men and women who serve in the military.

At the village of Heather Hills in Forest Hills, veterans from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam gathered for a pinning ceremony.

Amvets from Post 23 pinned flags and handed out certificates to privates, sergeants, and even a World War II general.
