MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- A German ship carrying noticeably large equipment that arrived Monday night on the Muskegon Lake is being unloaded at the Mart Dock.

The ship was full of wind turbine blades that will be used to improve a wind farm near Ithaca.

The blades are being set on trailers and will be towed in groups of four down Apple Avenue and then about 90 more miles east later this summer.

More shipments carrying the turbine towers will be arriving in the next several weeks.
