GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- If you want to raise a family, Grand Rapids is the place to be.
That's according to Forbes, which has released an updated list of America's Best Cities for Raising a Family. Grand Rapids, which took the top spot in 2012, slid to second place on the list, based on a low cost of living, minimal commute times, a low crime rate and the highest home ownership rate in the country, at 77 percent.
Grand Rapids was the only Michigan city to crack the top ten. Raleigh, NC took the top spot, based on a rising median income, a strong public schools system and low crime rate. To see the complete rankings, visit Forbes' website.
