A man trying to end an altercation between two women during a Grand Rapids argument ends up stabbed in the leg, and two people are facing charges connected to the fight.

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Police say a man was stabbed while trying to separate two women during a "large argument."

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday near the corner of Corinne Street SE and South Division Avenue.

Investigators say 15 to 20 people were involved in the argument, and a car at the scene was damaged.

They say a 21-year-old man tried to intervene between two women and was stabbed in the leg. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for what officers described as a non-life threatening injury.

One woman in her twenties was arrested in connection with the stabbing. Another person at the scene was arrested for disorderly conduct.
