HOLLAND, Mich. (WZZM) A piece of Holland history came crashing down Tuesday.
Work crews began demolishing the former API Industrial building near 6th Street and Fairbanks. It's one of about 30 commercial buildings and homes that are being removed to make room for the city's new natural gas power plant. It is expected to take three to five days to bring down.
Demolition for the projectt began in June and is expected to go through late October. The Holland BPW says the project is on schedule and on budget.
