HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- A 28-year-old Holland man was hospitalized with serious injuries following a longboard accident Tuesday evening.

The man was riding a longboard and being towed by a moped in the area of Aniline Ave. and Robar Dr. around 8:30 p.m., according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.

As the moped went faster, the skater lost control and fell. Authorities say he was not wearing a helmet.

The moped driver, a 24-year-old Holland man, was not hurt.
