LOWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - A West Michigan bridge comes down this weekend.

M-50, Alden Nash Avenue, over I-96 closed Friday night at 7:30pm for bridge demolition. I-96 was reduced to one lane starting at 9:00pm, and traffic is being routed off the exit, over M-50, and re-entering the highway on the other side of M-50.

The new bridge in its temporary location will open by 5:00am on Monday and all lanes of I-96 will be open then as well. The new bridge will be in its temporary location through October.
